I can't seem to find a single website that you can search all circuit courts throughout the entire state. The state in which I live in has an easy-to-use online case search throughout the state. I would appreciate your help. How do you search court cases online in Illinois?
I called two diffrent places in Illinois for you and they both said that the state of Illinois does not have an online state Judicial Circuit lookup like some states do. We have one in Missouri too and it's free so it's really nice! The first person I talked too said for you to find out info on a specific case you would have to contact the county seat for the county you need info in.The second person was much less helpful and seemed irriated with my generalized questions...even though when I mentioned that he responeded very harshly '; I'm not irritated!';.I did laugh once, not trying to be rude just trying to figre things out. Maybe he's having a bad day? Hopefully it'll get better for him! Didn't know quite what to do with that, just tried to be as polite as possible and still get my question answered which he made sort of hard cause I think he just wanted me to shut up and leave him alone! The more questions, the more irritated he became, I'd hate to live in a state where you're not allowed to ask questions to the clerks office, there friendly here.......oh well! Just beware you will want to have all your info before calling so you can be quick and easy for them....name, date of birth, county, anything else you got???Anyway I think from what I could get him to tell me he said the clerk of the circuit court could also answer your question. Oh yea, to get phone numbers (find your county) you can go to Illinois website http://www.state.il.us/court/default.asp Best of luck!!!
