Do the DVD cases in Japan look different from the ones commonly used in the US?

I bought a Japanese DVD awhile ago and the DVD case was clear plastic. It was totally different from the usual black opaque DVD cases we have in the US. Anyone have a clue?Do the DVD cases in Japan look different from the ones commonly used in the US?
The vast majority of commercial DVD cases are the black plastic ones, same as in the states. Rental shops like Tsutaya and some second-hand retailers often use smaller clear plastic cases.Do the DVD cases in Japan look different from the ones commonly used in the US?
We have clear cases in Japan, yes.
I've never seen a clear one.Most are just like the ones here.
