What is the Process Surrounding the Final Statement in Lethal Injection Cases?

Currently, I'm doing some research about lethal injection. I've found several web resources that have been very helpful. However, there is one thing none of them go into great detail on (or, in some cases, even cover): the final statement. Now, I know that there is a team of people in the chamber that insert the IV tubes and then, when that is done, leave the room. I also know that after that, the curtain is opened so that the witnesses can see. Then, the prisoner is allowed to make a final statement.

This is where things get fuzzy. Is there someone still in the chamber that tells the prisoner that they are allowed to make their final statement? Do they do it over some sort of intercom? Is the prisoner informed ahead of time what the procedure is, so that they are alone in the room and are given no instructions? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. What is the Process Surrounding the Final Statement in Lethal Injection Cases?
Your best best on information on lethal injection is to go to the bureau of prisons website which is BOP.gov.
