How do I clean my contact lens cases properly?

Like I notice after a while, the cases have a slippery feel to them. Is it OK to wash them with tap water and air dry them or do we really have to clean them with the solution? How do I clean my contact lens cases properly?
Drop the case and the lid into a pot of boiling water on the stove for a few minutes , then let it air dry.

Just using tap water , not boiled, can leave some bacteria in the case.

Then rinse with a bit of solution just before using it again.

It's best to get a new case about every 3 months also. How do I clean my contact lens cases properly?
I give all my Patients free cases if they ask. See if the place you get yoeur eye exam has a trial kit you can have to replace your kit. They might just give you a few. But we do reccomend cleaning your contact lens case after each use with either sterile solution or boiling water.
Correct, wash it with soap then tap water. air dry then before using, wash it again with the solution. Change the lens cases every three months.
To clean you contact lens case use just your basic tap water then let them air dry. That's all you have to do and remember to get a new case every 3-4 months.
