Does anyone know about any famous terminal illness cases besides that of Terri Schiavo?

The Schiavo case isn't a terminal illness case. Terminal illness means your going to die DIRECTLY from the illness, her case was a PVS (persistant vegitative state). But anyways, a similar PVS case is the Nancy Cruzan case which is probably the most classic. There are others too. The Elizabeth Bouvia case is interesting but slightly different but you see a different side to the subject so it may help also.Does anyone know about any famous terminal illness cases besides that of Terri Schiavo?
She did not have a terminal illness. She had brain damage. They're not even close to being the same thing.

To the post below this. . . I hope you're being facetious. There's nothing coincidental about Lou Gehrig having Lou Gehrig's disease. . . they named it after him, for heaven's sake. That's not a coincidence.Does anyone know about any famous terminal illness cases besides that of Terri Schiavo?

Lou Gherig had a terminal disease that, coincidentally, shared the same name as him.
Karen Ann Quinlan is the first case such as this I can recall. Very similar to the Schiavo case.
Do some research on Karen Ann Quinlan

There was a huge flap over her case in the 1970's
