Name a public event well known to produce the highest amount and worst cases of public drunkeness?

Can you think of an annual event or social gathering of whatever concept that is reported to produce the most unsightly and universal instances of excessive drunkeness?

And please, before you answer with something like ';New Years Eve,'; I ask you to specify at which particular city's celebration of that event.Name a public event well known to produce the highest amount and worst cases of public drunkeness?
Oktoberfest is a two-week festival held each year in Munich, Bavaria, Germany during late September and early October. It is one of the most famous events in the city and the world's largest fair, with some six million people attending every year.

There are many problems every year with young people, who overestimate their ability to handle large amounts of alcohol. Many pass out due to drunkenness. These especially drunk patrons are often called ';Bierleichen'; (German for ';beercorpses';). They are brought by staff to a medical tent where drunks as well as sick people are treated.Name a public event well known to produce the highest amount and worst cases of public drunkeness?

Every person that doesn't drink ALL YEAR LONG, decides to go out and get totally ripped. They puke, they cry, they say how much they love you, and hopefully don't end up in the drunk tank at the end of the night.

Pesta Ka'amatan in Sabah, Malaysian Borneo... it is the Harvest Festival (technically the same origin as the Oktoberfest), which starts by mid-April every year and lasts until mid-June but the culmination of the celebrations are 30 and 31 May, two days public holidays with cultural presentations, traditional sports etc, which of course only masks thinly the competitive drinking sessions held everywhere... by the way, May is one of the more interesting times if you visit Sabah - and like to mingle with the locals and sample some local drinks!
