How do I get blood stains out of pillow cases?

I was coughing up blood for a few nights and now they are stained. Any suggestions? How do I get blood stains out of pillow cases?
Soak in cold water, then wash in cold water. Pre-treating the stain with a stain remover prior to soaking/washing would be helpful. How do I get blood stains out of pillow cases?
You should definitely go to the doctor if you were coughing up blood, you might have done yourself some damage. Always best to get that kind of thing checked out!

Reguarding the blood, you can get it out with salt!

Soak your pillow cases in cold water , lay them out, sprinkle salt on the stained area and leave for about 20 minutes, half an hour. Rub the area off with another damp cloth, rinse, then put through the washer.

Good luck.
I agree with the other posted who suggested cold water and salt. It works beautifully. I got the spot wet with cold water and then poured regular table salt on it. I rubbed it in for a few minutes and then let it sit. After awhile (I don't remember how long) I rinsed it out and the stain was practically gone then. I did the above again and put it into the laundry and you can't even tell where the stain was. Good luck!
well.. first, you should go to the hospital and make sure that you're ok cause that is not normal!!!

and to get the satins out of you pillow just rub an ice cube on the stain for a couple of minutes and it should come out.
number one VANISH OXI POWER is amazing for getting out stains the 'trust pink forget stains?' and also, if your coughing up blood, i would go and see a doctor about that.
Hydrogen Peroxide will break down the blood stains which can then be put in the washing machine. They almost literally disappear before your eyes.
