How can you keep the media out of the court cases?

I know for criminal cases cameras/videos as well as reporters are allowed in. How about for a civil lawsuit? Is there anyway to bar the public from the courtroom? How can you keep the media out of the court cases?
It is up to the judges discretion whether or not cameras can be allowed in the court room for a particular case. If you do not want cameras in the courtroom, it is your lawyer that needs to submit this request to the judge. How can you keep the media out of the court cases?
ask for a publication ban.
Depends on the judge. Regardless, once the case is settled, it is a matter of public record, unless you are a minor.
It is ultimately up to the judge. A petitioner or defendant can file a motion to keep press away, but the final decision is the judges.
