Do you know of any cases solved by plea bargaining in exchange for testimony?

I need it for my debate case.. I think by the amount of questions like this that that is obvious. I need any real life example/s of a case where someone had a reduced sentence/less charges because he/she testified against another person. OJ Simpson's case comes to mind, but that's not over yet.... Mafia cases, like the movie, GOODFELLAS, was based on a true story.. In exchange for his testimony against the mafia, all charges were dropped against him and he and his family got to join the witness protection program.
Yes, I believe that is called being an informant, a more popular term, Snitch.... be aware and be very careful, people do not like snitches, unless it is life or death...
