I live in coastal Massachusetts. I have limited my contact with other people to school and necessary shopping. I close to the ocean and nearby farms, and have been washing my hands and sanitizing surfaces every chance I get. Are there any other ways I can decrease my and my family's chance of contracting the flu?Two cases of swine flu were confirmed in my state last night. What health measures should I take?
Just keep doing what you are. Everything you are already doing is what is being recommended for everyone to do. It's the same as with any virus..the ';regular'; flu, colds, etc. And remember, 2 out of how many people live in your state? There was one confirmed case at Notre Dame (in Indiana) which is about 20 minutes away from me and that person has already had it and gotten over it and is fine. If you start to feel the symptoms, which will hit you very fast, like fever over 100, chills, body aches, fatigue, sore throat then go see your doctor with in 48 hours. There are medications that you can take to help shorten the duration and the severity of any flu.Two cases of swine flu were confirmed in my state last night. What health measures should I take?
The same measures as any other sickness. Seems like your doing a good job.
I think that's all u can do.
Try to go to the doctor as
soon as possible if you or
your family have a symptom of H1N1
