Like hte use of thermal scanning to see if ppl were growing marijuana in their homes... that was decided to be unconstitutional.
any other examples? What are some examples of cases with regards to the fourth amendment?
I have provided below a link to an excellent website that provides a comprehensive list of Supreme Court decisions relating to the Fourth Amendment.
This is the Amendment to the U.S. Constitution that protects people against unreasonable search and seizure, and that requires the issuance of a warrant demonstrating ';probable cause'; before the police powers of the government can be used to search an individual's person or property.
It is the amendment that is often cited as granting citizens a ';right of privacy,'; although it is interesting to note that the word ';privacy'; does not appear anywhere in either the amendment or in any other part of the U.S. Constitution.
The Miranda decision, as you pointed out, had nothing to do with the Fourth Amendment.
I hope this is helpful. What are some examples of cases with regards to the fourth amendment?
did u try the Miranda v. Arizona case.... it spawned the... Miranda right.... pretty good case to use. studied it in business law...
1).if a cop pulls someone over because they think they have drugs in their glove compartment because they have a ';hunch';. the cop can only look in a car if the car is pulled over a second time. but they still cant look in the glove compartment without a warrent.
and a cop cant tell you to empty your pockets because you look like your ';hiding'; something.
