How many cases (approximately) would a Detective work in a year?

I know it's hard to get a definite answer on this one, but I was just wondering how many cases a Detective (Major Case, Homicide) may work in a year? How many cases (approximately) would a Detective work in a year?
You're getting different, hard to pin down answers because there's no real answer. A detective or investigator can see as many as two hundred cases in a year or as little as two, it just depends on the case load, the area the dectective is working in, his or her specialty, how many other detectives work in the same squad, district or precinct, etc.

There's lots of contributing factors to the case load of the individaul detective.
